Shipping Policies

Illini Union Bookstore is proud to offer flat rate shipping of $12.99 for UPS Ground service. Gift cards are shipped out via UPS Ground with no shipping charge.  All of our shipments are professionally packed to ensure the safety of your items in route.  We ship Monday-Friday.  Diploma frames are $24.95 to ship (and cannot be expedited) and University chairs are $36-$45 to ship (depending on region of country).  Lawn signs ship directly from the vendor, so there will always be a $12.99 charge (even for pick up orders).

On average, your order will be received in 7 - 10 working days. During August or December, delivery time may take longer. 

HOLIDAY SHIPPING:

Mon Dec 16th noon, deadline for ordering using UPS Ground

Wed Dec 18th noon, deadline for ordering using 2nd Day

Thurs Dec 19th noon, deadline for ordering using Next Day

**The last day we will ship out packages is Mon Dec 23rd.**

Yes, we can ship internationally.  However, shipping charges will NOT be part of our flat-rate shipping.  Rate to ship to Canada is $30, and all other countries $70.  International packages ship via UPS, which takes 6-10 days for delivery.  Diploma frames shipped Internationally are $54.95 for Canada, and $94.95 for all other countries.

Alternatively, you may choose to pick up your order at the store, instead of having it shipped.  Simply choose "pick up @ Illini Union Bkstr" on the checkout page (under shipping method).  There is no charge for this service.  Once you receive email notification that your order has been processed, please pick up from the bookstore (see in-store signage for location).  Bring the email notification with you to assist in picking up your order.  Please note, customer has 2 weeks to pick up the order after receiving email notification.

Unclaimed Pick up orders

Customers will receive an email once the order is ready to be picked up from the store.  Reminder emails will be sent until the order is picked up from the bookstore.  After 90 days, the order is considered "unclaimed" and no refund will be given.  It is the customer's responsibility to make alternative arrangements (choose shipping, or send someone on their behalf), if they cannot pick up their order within 90 days.

Returns

Textbooks

A full refund will be given in your original form of payment if returned during the first 10 day of classes (see in-store signage for specific dates) with original receipt and in original condition.
Course packets, access codes, shrink-wrapped items where the shrink-wrap has been broken are non-returnable.  Rental returns are due at the end of each semester.

Loose-leaf and shrink-wrapped items

Refunds will be given for loose-leaf and shrink-wrapped items only if unopened and returned on or before the refund date.

Digital and Online Access items

Digital and online content including access codes can be returned if not accessed or opened and returned on or before the refund date.

General Books

A full refund will be given in your original form of payment if merchandise is in original condition with original receipt and returned within 5 days of purchase.
Test Prep, Study Aids, Magazines and Sale Merchandise are non-returnable.
Opened software, audio books, DVDs, CDs, music and electronics may not be returned but can be exchanged if deemed defective.

General Merchandise

A full refund will be given in your original form of payment if merchandise is in original condition with original receipt within 30 days of purchase.  Gift cards, umbrellas, ties, padfolios, clearance, and special event merchandise are non-returnable. Customized items are also non-returnable.  Online purchases may be returned by mail, or in-person at the store. After 30 days, a full refund cannot be given.  Up to 60 days, a discounted refund can be given.  During the holiday season, as long as the merchandise is returned in re-sellable condition and accompanied with a receipt; we can take the return in January (even if longer than 30 days).

Electronics

Refunds will be given for unopened items within 14 days. Exchanges will be made for items deemed defective. Other restrictions may apply, see store for details.
